Abbot Kinney - Beatnik
Enhanced & SIgned Giclee on Canvas
$150.00$75.00
Abbot Kinney Beatnick is a hand-enhanced and signed Giclee print on canvas. I created this idea while helping out as Artistic Director and Music Director for a wonderfully fun local Venice Canal community event called the Beat Ball and Beyond.
My neighbors and friends all pitched in to help celebrate the 100th birthday of Venice, which was founded by Abbot Kinney on July 4th 1905. We put on a bash featuring several bands, a fantastic barbecue, and a potluck.
As a theme, we honored the 1950s Beatnik tradition of Venice of America, and did our best to recreate a wildly colorful day in the Summer of Love. A local band I was a member of called The Canilgators played the opening and closing sets of the event
